LGANT has partnered with Public Skills Australia (PSA) to deliver in-person workshops in the NT to map skill requirements by linking current and future services with roles, and identifying the skills required. The NT workshops include:
Public Skills Australia (PSA) is one of 10 jobs and skills councils and has been tasked with future-proofing Australia’s workforce. PSA is funded through the Federal Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) and works with many industry sectors, including all tiers of government to identify workforce challenges and potential skills shortages.
In the context of Local Government, PSA is supporting Local Government Councils to anticipate what kinds of workforces you will need in the future, and then find ways to attract, train and support the right workers for the services Local Government delivers across Australia.
The outcomes delivered by this project are only as good as the inputs provided by Local Government Councils, so we strongly recommend you make available staff to attend the nearest event.
