August has been another busy month for LGANT as we continue advocating on behalf of member councils through a period of significant policy reform and sector change.
A key focus has been our ongoing engagement with government on the Empowering the Bush program. LGANT has continued to advocate for councils to be recognised as partners in the process and for regular engagement with the sector as reforms progress. A third sector briefing has now been scheduled for September, providing a further opportunity for councils to hear directly from government and contribute to discussions about the future of local government in the Territory.
