About the November 2024 Conference

The LGANT November 2024 Conference will be held 06-07 June 2024 at DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs
 
LGANT’s bi-annual event for local government in the Northern Territory brings together key decision-makers, including Mayors, Presidents, Elected and Local Authority Members, council CEOs, and senior managers.
 
This year the keynote speakers include one of Australia’s best-known and respected contemporary Urbanists and Futurists and former Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Stephen Yarwood.
 

The theme for the November 2024 LGANT Conference, “The Future of Local Government,” emphasized innovation, resilience, and adaptability in addressing current and future challenges facing local councils. It set the stage for discussions on reimagining governance structures, embracing technology, and fostering sustainable and community-driven solutions.
